Dr Chris Steadman is a full time Consultant Cardiologist at Poole Hospital NHS Foundation Trust who also has sessions at The Royal Bournemouth Hospital. In March 2017 he was also appointed as the Clinical Director for Medicine at Poole Hospital.
Dr Steadman is on the Specialist Register with the General Medical Council for Cardiology and General (Internal) Medicine.
He specialises in a wide range of cardiovascular problems and can provide consultations, advice, investigations and treatment.
His particular interest is in advanced cardiovascular imaging and his research for the British Heart Foundation primarily involved cardiac MRI. His NHS post is at Poole Hospital, a recognised centre of excellence for cardiac imaging providing all contemporary imaging modalities; transthoracic, transoesophageal and stress echocardiography, cardiac MRI, cardiac CT and cardiac nuclear perfusion scanning. The Cardiology Department at Poole has been awarded Departmental Accreditation by the British Society of Echocardiography in all forms of echocardiography and for training. He also works closely with colleagues in the Cardiology Department at the Royal Bournemouth Hospital and has sessions there performing invasive coronary angiography.
He currently lives in Poole with his family.
